High Five, Adam Rubin: A Review
High Five by Adam Rubin is a funny and heartwarming picture book about two friends who learn the importance of sharing and cooperation.
The story begins with two friends, a boy named Bear and a mouse named Mouse. Bear is big and strong, while Mouse is small and quick. They are both very different, but they are best friends.
One day, Bear and Mouse are playing in the forest when they come across a big, juicy apple. They both want to eat the apple, but they can't decide who should get it.
Bear says, "I'm bigger than you, so I should get the apple."
Mouse says, "I'm smarter than you, so I should get the apple."
They argue back and forth until they are both very frustrated. Finally, Bear has an idea.
"I know," he says. "We'll split the apple in half and share it."
Mouse agrees, and they cut the apple in half. They each take a bite, and they are both very happy.
Bear and Mouse learn that sharing is a good thing. It makes both of them happy. They also learn that cooperation is important. If they had not worked together, they would not have been able to share the apple.
High Five is a great book for children of all ages. It is a fun and engaging story that teaches important lessons about sharing and cooperation.
